Agalas Zakynthos Wild Fire Relief

From Wildfire to Renewal

Restoring Olive Groves, Rebuilding Lives, and Planting Hope for the Next Generation in Zakynthos

A devastating wildfire swept across the beautiful island of Zakynthos, Greece, burning for more than ten days and leaving profound loss in its wake. In August 2025, more than 44,000 acres were destroyed—ancient olive groves, fruit orchards, walnut and almond trees, pine forests, and vital natural vegetation burned to the ground. Homes, farms, animals, and livelihoods were lost, leaving families and communities heartbroken.

Even in the aftermath of this devastation, the land and the people of Zakynthos are ready to heal.

AGAPI Inc. is on the ground supporting relief efforts and helping nature regain its strength. We are working directly with families and farmers—walking through the damaged groves, listening, and responding with care, presence, and action.

This coming fall, AGAPI Inc. will begin replanting olive trees, fruit trees, pine trees, and native vegetation across the affected areas. With the support of our community, we have already begun grafting wild olive trees, preparing young saplings and fruit trees to be planted beginning in September.

This initiative focuses on planting organic, natural, non-GMO, fully bio trees and plants that will restore the land, support small farmers, and provide long-term nourishment and resilience for families across Zakynthos. These efforts are rooted in traditional agricultural practices that honor the land while strengthening environmental and human health. With your support, this restoration becomes possible.

The effort is being led by Zoi Maroudas, Founder of AGAPI Inc., who will be working hands-on with local communities—planting trees alongside elementary and high school students across Zakynthos. By planting together, this effort becomes more than recovery; it becomes education, stewardship, and hope passed forward to the next generation.

We invite individuals, families, organizations, and partners to join us on the ground in Zakynthos or support this effort through a donation. Whether you come to plant alongside us or help fund the purchase of organic, non-GMO, fully bio olive trees, fruit trees, pine trees, and native plants, your contribution makes restoration possible. Together, we are rebuilding land, supporting farmers, and renewing ecosystems with care, integrity, and intention. Your participation—through presence or generosity—helps turn loss into living landscapes and ensures this land can nourish families for generations to come.

With your partnership, we can help restore what was lost—one tree, one field, and one community at a time.
